Here is an Old Reading Beer Light from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA.  This Old Reading Beer Lighted Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in very good condition for it’s age.

This sign was made by the Neon Products Inc. located in Lima, OH.  The graphics on this sign depict the “wooden shingle” graphic with the overlaid text that reads “Old Reading Beer” and “Traditionally Pennsylvania Dutch”.  The overall design, layout, and style of the sign was primarily used by the Old Reading Brewery from the 1930’s into the 1950’s era.

Signs like this one would have been displayed two different ways, one being as a bar back display and the other as a dartboard light above a dartboard.  There is a small panel on the bottom that can be easily removed to turn the sign into a dartboard light.  This metal panel is often times missing on the other examples of this sign that I’ve seen.
