Here is a Schutz & Hilgers Beer Tray from the Schutz and Hilgers Brewing Company (also known as the “City Brewery”) located in Jordan, MN.  This pre-prohibition era Schutz & Hilgers Beer Tray is from between 1902 – 1920 and is in very good condition considering how old it is.

The tray is approximate 13.5″ wide and is a pie-plate style tray.  The graphics depict a Spanish Conquistador toasting a pewter stein of beer with the typography lettering along the rim reading “Drink Schutz and Hilgers Beer” and “Jordan, Minn.”. There is another variation of this tray; the difference being the center graphic is a stock scene of a tall elk standing on a hill with a lake and mountains in the background.
