Here is a Tru Blu Porcelain Sign from the Northampton Brewing Company located in Northampton, PA.  This Tru Blu Porcelain Sign dates from around the 1940s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.  The “Tru Blu” name referred to the brewery’s flagship products like “Tru Blue Beer and Ale”.

This style of sign is known as a “swinger sign” and originally would have been displayed outside of a tavern or possibly the Northampton Brewing Company, usually hung above a doorway to advertising Tru Blue Beer and Ale to patrons passing by. The sign is a approximately 48″ by 36″ and is made up of two porcelain enamel sign panels (also known as “skins”) sandwiched together against a metal body with hanging hooks.
