Here is a Horlacher Beer Bullet Light from the Horlacher Brewing Company located in Allentown, PA.  This Horlacher Beer Bullet Light is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.

This Horlacher’s Pilsner Beer Sign was made by the Cincinnati Advertising Products Company located in Cincinnati, OH.  The style of sign is known as a bullet light also known as a shield light.  It is approximately 12.5 inches tall including base and 4.75 inches wide; it is made of a curved bullet-shaped reverse-painted glass lens mounted on a metal and wooden backlit base.

Signs like this one would have been displayed on the bar back behind the bar or hung on the wall of a tavern or distributor to advertise Horlacher Pilsner Beer. The graphics on this sign depict a 12 oz “steinie” bottle with a Horlacher Pilsner Beer label; the label includes the Horlacher Brewery’s signature penguin mascot with red Art Deco stylized pin stripping around the edge.
