Here is a Jolly Scot Ale Sign from the Graupner Brewing Company located in Harrisburg, PA. This Jolly Scot Ale Sign is from the 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
This sign was made by the Permanent Sign and Display Company located in Reading, PA. It is approximately 13″ wide and is made of tin wrapped over a cardboard back; the sign style is known as a TOC also known as a Tin Over Cardboard. Signs like these would have been displayed on the walls of taverns and distributors to advertise Graupner Ale and Beer to patrons.
