Here is a Minneapolis Lager Beer Sign from the Minneapolis Brewing Company located in Minneapolis, MN. This Minneapolis Beer Sign is from between 1892 and 1905 and is in very good condition for its age.
This sign is approximately 16″ X 24″ and is made of embossed metal. It was made by the Townsend Hostetter & Company located in Chicago, IL. The graphics on this sign display the brewery’s insignia “M” in the center surrounded by hops and wheat along with the typography that reads “Minneapolis Brewing Co.” and “Lager Beer”. Signs like this one would have been displayed outside of taverns on the wall or mounted on corner posts to advertise Minneapolis Beer to patrons.
